The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) is a patriotic and educational organization, similar to the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). It was founded on November 12, 1881 and incorporated by Act of Congress August 20, 1954. The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War is the legal heir to and representative of the GAR.

William B. Keith Camp No. 12 of the SUVCW was established on March 31, 2001, and serves the southern part of Nevada. The Camp is named for Pvt. William Boone Keith (1840-1920).

  • AREA: The Camp serves Las Vegas and all of southern Nevada.
  • MEETINGS: Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Las Vegas Family Search Library, 509 S. Ninth Street, Las Vegas, Nevada (downtown). Please contact the Camp Commander for further details.
  • NEWSLETTER: Camp 12 News.
  • MEMORIAL DAY PARTICIPATION: At the graves of both Union and Confederate veterans buried in Woodland Cemetery, Las Vegas, NV.
  • DUES: Annual dues are $30.00, with a $10.00 application fee paid the first year.
