Rick T. LaRosa

Rick T. LaRosa was born May 6, 1959 in San José, California. He grew up in Sunnyvale and now lives in Campbell, California. Rick graduated from Prospect High School in 1977, where he was enrolled for two years in the Marine Corps Jr. ROTC program. He worked at various occupations including sheet metal, landscaping and eight years with Stanford University’s Biological Sciences Department. Rick retired after 24 years with the City of Sunnyvale’s Parks & Recreation Department in 2019.

Rick has many interests, including a love of history and literature. He belongs to the Orders and Medals Society and the San Jose Stamp Club. Nature walks, used book stores and music are just a few of his passions. From the late 1980’s to the mid 1990’s Rick played guitar with his brother, Steve, in the local coffee house scene in the south San Francisco Bay Area on a weekly basis.

Rick joined the Phil Sheridan Camp No. 4, SUVCW in 2002 as an Associate. He served as its Camp Commander from 2021-2023. Although Rick has Confederate ancestors, he has not found any Union at this time “but will keep looking!”
